Dial M for Murder / Video Installation / Original Running Time: 140’’ / Computer Generated Video / Color / 2006.
In Alfred Hitchcock’s Dial M for Murder (1954) where Hitchcock’s cameo appearance is seen (the photo on the wall) I placed my own image sitting next to him.
Psychedelic / 2’ 5’’ / Animation / BW / 2006.
In the video, the shower sequence of Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960) was re-created on computer by drawing approximately 3100 frames.
Fast-İman / 11’ / Documentary / Color / 2003.
The documentary is a part of the video installation Fast-İman.
I choose an alternative way to give info about the work; while the video runs via projection on the wall, the documentary video is displayed on a small monitor with headphones on it. The documentary video stands as a descriptive text.
Fast-İman / 14’ (Loop) / Video / Color / 2001.
The video installation Fast-İman questions the relevance of religious messages for contemporary life. The video documents a strategy developed by a mosque in Istanbul by running lines from the Quran on a digital display screen above the entrance of the mosque.
